New Clinic! Caboose Lighting

\"SLHRSOur HO Division Superintendent, Tom Blinn, and Electrical Committee Chair and Society Treasurer Barry Chinn will be running a new clinic for the 2015-2016 season!  This clinic will be “Caboose Lighting”.  This clinic will happen on Saturday, February 27th in the Depot Museum.  The clinic will be a hands-on session building one of the boards.  If you bring 2 trucks with plastic side frames and Intermountain wheels, Tom & Barry will help you make them pickup trucks.  You will leave knowing how to light your caboose with detailed drawings and plans, a printout of the steps to take, and commercial contacts for the required items.  Not to mention the experience of trying something new!

We will go over the following:

  1. Preparing the trucks for electrical pick up.
  2. Building a universal caboose lighting wiring board.
  3. Attaching different kinds of lights.
  4. Installing the board and wiring.
  5. Choosing the right resistors.

Remember!  A dark, unlit caboose is a shame to model railroaders!  So get on with it and look like a real modeler!

Come and learn with us and the handout will be a constant reference to all the details!  Hope to see you at our Depot Museum at 10:00 AM on February 27th.  Please reach out to Tom Blinn to RSVP for this event!
